Feeds include product, inventory and price uploads; downloads include order and settlement reports.The ID returned for feeds and reports by Amazon SOAP and AIM servers will soon exceed maximum for signed 32 bit integer. Customer action may be needed. What is happening? Merchants selling on Amazon.com can upload feeds and download reports using SOAP APIs, AIM API’s or Seller Central. When a feed is uploaded, Amazon returns a unique ID that identifies the feed that is submitted. Similarly, for report requests, Amazon returns a unique ID that identifies the report. In the near future (10-12 weeks), we expect the ID returned by Amazon SOAP/AIM APIs to be greater than 2147483647 (i.e., the number that can fit in 32 bits). Amazon Announcement

Jun. 20, 2008 - Alibaba Group, the parent of Hong Kong listed Alibaba.com Ltd, on Wednesday launched a free online advertising service, Alimama.com, according to sources. Alimama.com, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Alibaba Group founded by Jack Ma, aims to gain the largest share of online advertising in China within three to five years.In 2008, Alibaba Group has been concentrating on building Alimama.com into an online trade platform integrating B2C and C2C advertising service. Omniture, Inc., Bazaarvoice and Mercado today announced that Overstock.com is using integrated solutions from the three companies through Omniture Genesis to employ a strategy called "searchandising" -- the utilizing of on-site search terms, user-generated product reviews and analytics to optimize product merchandising and relevance. Alibaba merchants gathered at the Gleacher Center at the University of Chicago on Wednesday evening for a reception to honor winners of its e-Business Champion contest. Merchants in attendance included those in town for the eBay conference taking place at the McCormick Place convention center beginning on Thursday. The five winners of the North American Alibaba contest were EveAlexander.com, MomsOnEdge.com, BellPerformance.net, OnFair.com and DecoBreeze.com. BEIJING, June 10 - Alibaba.com Limited, the world's leading B2B e-commerce company, today announced the launch of a new product called ''China TrustPass for Individuals'' on its Chinese-language online marketplace, which connects suppliers and buyers trading domestically in China. Until now, Alibaba.com's China TrustPass membership had only been available to corporate users. Similar to the corporate version, entrepreneurs need to pass a third-party authentication and verification process before they become a China TrustPass member. As part of this process applicants need to provide their identity card and bank information. Once they become an authorized China TrustPass member, Alibaba.com will maintain an online trust rating for individuals to build confidence and credibility with potential buyers.
